What is the MicroLaserPeel®?

The MicroLaserPeel® is a superficial skin resurfacing process that removes a thin layer of damaged skin in order to improve the texture and provide a more youthful appearance of the skin surface. It provides superior results with minimal downtime or recovery because it can be applied with great accuracy. The procedure is performed in office by a licensed aesthetician and can be custom programmed to specific skin conditions.

How does the MicroLaserPeel work?

The MicroLaserPeel’s electromagnetic beam is carefully metered over an area to be treated. The laser wavelength is calibrated to a specific depth which removes the top layer of some of the damaged skin cells that make you look aged and tired. As the skin begins the healing process, fresh new skin cells begin to grow and resurface the treated area. The results provide reduced wrinkles, improved skin color consistency.

Is the MicroLaserPeel® uncomfortable?

One of the major advantages of the MicroLaserPeel® is that it produces virtually no pain since it does not penetrate very deep into the skin or deep dermis. At a deeper wavelength settings, a topical numbing cream can be used based upon the patient sensitivity.

Depending on the extent of skin depth the treatment was applied, most people feel extremely ready to return to work within as little as three to four days. This has cause the MicroLaserPeel® to be named the “the weekend peel.”

What aftercare is needed after a MicroLaserPeel®?

Proper medical skin care products can be used to help accelerate the healing process and prolong the positive effects of the MicroLaserPeel®.
